LSH Auto Australia is excited to offer the opportunity for a motivated Accountant to join our team based at our Kings Way dealership in South Melbourne.

About the role

Reporting directly to the Manager - Accounting and Finance, the successful applicant with be responsible for:

• Preparation and analysis of month end reporting, management accounts and manufacturer reporting to ensure deadlines are achieved
• Monthly balance sheet reconciliations in line with accounting standards and company policies
• Accounts payable/receivable and administration support/backup when required
• Assisting dealership staff daily with queries to ensure and instill a 'right first time'
• Assisting with budgeting and forecasting data as required by the Manager, Accounting and Finance.
• Being investigative into the transactions of the dealership, ensuring that any issues are addressed in a timely fashion with follow-ups as necessary.   
• Liaising with internal and external auditors as required ensuring the integrity of the financial statements.
• Assist Manager, Accounting and Finance on day-to-day operations of accounts/administration department

About you

• A minimum 3 years Accounting experience working within a similar environment;
• Extensive financial accounting working knowledge;
• Motor Vehicle dealership and Pentana experience is highly regarded;
• Strong proficiency in Microsoft Excel
• University degree qualified in Accounting / Commerce; and
• Professionally CA/ CPA qualification (or working towards the qualification).
• High accuracy and strong attention to detail
• Ability to meet strict deadlines in fast-paced environment
• Positive “can-do” attitude and ability to enjoy working in a team environment
• High level of professionalism and communication skills
